Conleth Hill (born 24 November 1964) is a Northern Irish actor. He is perhaps best known for his role as Lord Varys in the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones (2011–2019).
Early Life and Career: Hill was born in Ballycastle, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Before Game of Thrones, Hill had a successful stage career, winning two Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Actor for his performances in Stones in His Pockets and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
Game of Thrones: His portrayal of the scheming and enigmatic Varys earned him critical acclaim and widespread recognition.
Other Notable Roles: Aside from his stage and Game of Thrones work, Hill has appeared in various films and television series, including Suits, Dublin Murders, and Holding.
